Senior Project Assistant (Child Protection) 

  • Act as the child protection team leader by coordinating all team member’s daily activities and related tasks to child protection. 
  • Handle child protection BID (Best Interest Determination) reports and ensure accuracy of the information collected, sending family tracings requests to IOM country of origin missions, and clearing Child Protection cases before departure. 
  • Represent IOM Libya in the child protection working group and GBV working group, by coordinating closely with relevant child protection UN agencies and INGO to develop durable solutions for children.
  • Supervise and advise caseworkers during the drafting and revising of BID reports before submission to child protection panellists. 
  • Assign as the Team Leader-Tripoli Field child protection Team.
  • Coordinate all child travel processes with VHR and resettlement colleagues in Libya and destination country including family tracing, and legal processes until children are reunited with their families and legal guardian.
  • Assist in the draft of reports, proposals, analyses, and indicators collected on child protection trends in Libya, to develop SOPs when needed.
  • Supervise all child protection training and BID case management to staff, local NGOs, embassy representatives, community leaders, and other stockholders.
  • Contribute to knowledge management and capacity building by providing technical expertise in the field of child protection to partners and government authorities

Office Coordinator of the investment department   

  • Drafted official communication letters and e-mails of the department overseeing the twenty-one active LAICO subsidiaries in Africa.
  • Compiled and drafted meeting minutes of Investment Dept, board members reports, and project situation report of each subsidiary profile. 
  • Performed the staff evaluation for all members of the twenty-one active LAICO subsidiaries in Africa.
  • Acted as HR focal point for the staff development for the company: in charge of planning and coordinating the activities and communication with external partners to support the staff yearly capacity building drafted plan.
